Launcher performance
We tested four DayZ launchers on the same Windows PC. Less RAM and disk space is better.
DZCLauncher placed second for RAM and third for disk space.
It used 221.8 MB of RAM and 32.1 MB of disk space. The lightest result used 205.7 MB of RAM.

What was running during the test
The server list, search, favourites, recent servers, Steam and mod checks, updates, and troubleshooting tools were ready to use.
How we tested
Test steps
- Install the current version of each launcher on the same Windows PC.
- Keep Steam open and close DayZ and every launcher before each test.
- Open the server list and wait 30 seconds.
- Measure the launcher and anything it opened for 60 seconds.
- Test every launcher three times and use the middle result.
Disk space includes the launcher files. It does not include settings, logs, DayZ, or downloaded mods.
Test PC: Windows 10.0.26100 build 26100, AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor, 63.9 GB RAM.
What can change the results
Results can differ on another PC or with another launcher version. Background work and the number of available servers can also change RAM use.
DZCLauncher is independent. The other launchers, Steam, and DayZ belong to their respective owners.
