Open the download page. Microsoft Store installs the Combined Windows x64 launcher for DayZ and Arma 3. Dedicated DayZ and Arma 3 portable ZIPs are also on that page.

Download the ZIP from the download page, right-click it, choose Extract All, and start the DZC launcher executable from the extracted folder. Do not run it from inside the ZIP window.

Store distributions update through Microsoft Store. Direct/portable distributions use the DZC updater when that distribution supports launcher-managed updates.

Start Steam, sign into the account that owns the game you are trying to launch, and make sure it is installed. DZC Launcher — DayZ requires DayZ; DZC Launcher — Arma 3 requires Arma 3. Then close and reopen the launcher.

Keep Steam open and check that downloads are not paused. If a Workshop download failed once, restart Steam and press join again in the matching game launcher.

The saved server information may be old. Open the server page and select Refresh status & mods. If it still fails, ask the server owner whether the address has changed.

Start the matching DZC launcher once so its protocol can be registered. DayZ links use dayzplatform://; Arma 3 links use arma3platform://. If the operating system asks which app should open the link, choose the matching DZC launcher.

Close the launcher first. Isolated Windows variants store their data under %LocalAppData%\DZCLauncher.DayZ or %LocalAppData%\DZCLauncher.Arma3. Legacy/current-transition builds may use %LocalAppData%\DayZPlatform. Delete only the file connected to the problem, such as settings.json, servers-cache.json, favorites.json, or recent.json.

Close the launcher and remove its installed or extracted application files. Delete the corresponding local data folder only if you also want to erase that game launcher's settings, cache, favourites, recent servers, and logs.

DayZ is a DZC Linux target through Steam/Proton rather than a native DayZ Linux executable. The current public DZC package is still Windows x64; the Linux launcher path must complete Proton-aware integration, packaging, and smoke testing before it is advertised as a published DZC build.

Arma 3 ships on Windows, Linux x64, and macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon). Each platform uses the Steam client or native Arma 3 install detection, allowlisted launch arguments, and the verified download updater path on Linux/macOS.

Launcher updates, help, and community discussion live on the DZC Discord server. Pick your game and OS roles there to access the DayZ and Arma 3 channels.

If you operate listed DayZ or Arma 3 servers, open a listing and choose Claim this server, or go to the claim form. Sign in with Discord, search and select every listing you run, then add evidence we can check without passwords or admin logins. Approved claims can mark listings as verified.

Include the DZC launcher variant, launcher version, operating system, the action that failed, and the relevant launcher log. Do not include server passwords or account credentials.
